Mr. Eric W. Miller, 61, of Milford MA died unexpectedly early Monday morning (September 1, 2026) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Susanne M. (Phipps) Miller.

Eric was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Dean W. Miller Sr. and the late Angelina “Angie” ( Rosati) Miller. He attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1983. He also was a graduate of Johnson & Wales in Providence RI, where he attained his degree in culinary arts.

Eric was first employed as a young man working in the kitchen at Oliva’s Market here in Milford MA. He then became employed as a chef at various restaurants in the greater Milford area including the former Vittorio’s Restaurant in Milford MA, the former Carbone’s Restaurant in Hopkinton MA and the former O’Toole’s Pub located in Milford MA and later Hopkinton MA. For the past 20 years he had been employed as the head chef at the Milford Regional Medical Center.

Eric was an avid outdoorsman. He was an avid fisherman, an avid hunter and an avid gardener. He also loved spending time near the ocean by going to the beach. Eric was also an avid fan of all the New England sports teams.

Eric is survived by his beloved wife & companion of the last 16 years Susanne; his 2 sons: Boden Miller of Medway MA and Keenan Miller of Medway MA; his siblings: Mary-Ellen Filosa and her husband Peter Filosa of Milford MA, Dean W. Miller Jr. and his wife Annie Graziano-Miller of Rockport MA and Dana Miller and his wife Cheryl of Uxbridge MA; also several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Eric was the brother of the late James M. Miller, who died in 2002.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of his Life will be held SATURDAY (September 5th) from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00AM at the conclusion of the Celebration of Life. A Private Committal Service of his cremains will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford at the convenience of the family.
