Francis R. "Duke" Shea, 77, of Cape Cod, MA passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 2, 2018, after his courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Duke worked hard his entire life and created a meaningful life for both himself and his family, before retiring in 2017. He spent all his time off with his loving wife Betty, traveling between Cape Cod and Naples, FL, where he enjoyed several years with special friends, beautiful sunsets, reading books, and relaxing.  His remaining time was spent with his three sons and grandchildren, whom he loved with all his heart.

Duke leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Betty (Elliott) Shea, and his three sons, Scott of Munich, Germany, Todd and wife Danielle of Cape Cod, MA., and Patrick and wife Rebecca of Virginia.  Duke was the proud grandfather and papa to eight grandchildren; Vivian, Patrick, and Lilian of Munich, Germany; Declan and Trevor of Cape Cod, MA; and Jax, Caden, and Brynn of Virginia.  He also leaves behind his brother Brian Shea of Milford, MA, and Aunty Gloria (DePasquale) Tkowski of Cape Cod.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday (September 6th) at 12PM at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford, MA.  Burial will follow at the Hopedale Village Cemetery in Hopedale, MA.   A visiting hour will be held Thursday morning (September 6th) from 11am to 12PM, prior to his funeral service.
