Mr. Francis E. O'Neill, 85, of Milford MA died Saturday (April 23, 2022) at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington MA after being stricken earlier in the week. He was the beloved husband of the late Paulette (LaMontagne) O'Neill who died in 2007.

Francis was born in Milford MA, the son of the late James E. O'Neill and the late Mary Ann (Marinelli) O'Neill. He was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School, Class of 1955.

Francis was first employed as a young man at the former Draper Corporation located in Hopedale MA. He later worked as a custodian at the Milford District Court House  and for the Town of Milford in the public school system. Francis also was employed for the Town of Milford as a school crossing guard.

Francis was a lifelong resident of Milford MA and had served as a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He loved cars and landscaping his yard at home. But his favorite past-time was taking fun trips with his family members, especially his grandchildren.

Francis is survived by his two daughters: Mary Casello and her husband Paul of Westborough MA and Trish Luchini and her husband Rick of Milford MA; his grandchildren: PJ Casello and his wife Emily of Worcester MA, Jenna Casello and her fiancé Ryan Mangini of Westborough MA, Jason Luchini of Milford MA and Justin Luchini of Milford MA; also nieces & nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday (April 29th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening (April 28th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
