Mr. Francis X. Sartain Sr., 97, of Milford MA , died Monday (June 11, 2018) at his son's residence in Uxbridge MA after a period of declining health, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Ferrelli) Sartain.

Mr. Sartain was born in Providence RI, the son of the late Charles and the late Camilla (Sullivan) Sartain. He attended Milford public schools and had been employed for thirty years as a crane operator at the former Draper Corporation located in Hopedale MA.

Mr. Sartain was a WW II US Marine Corps veteran having served in the Pacific theatre. He was a longtime member of the Medway VFW. His joy in life was spending time with his family members.

Along with his beloved wife of 69 years, he is survived by 1 son: Francis X. Sartain Jr. and his wife Dean Ann of Uxbridge MA; 1 grandson: Nathan Francis Sartain of Somerville MA  and several nieces & nephews.

His funeral, with Military Honors, will be held Thursday (June 14th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Thursday (June 14th) from 8:30am to 9:30am, prior to his Funeral Mass.
