Mrs. Georgina A. (Brown) Duffy, 86, formerly of Hopedale MA, died Wednesday (July 28, 2010) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. Mrs. Duffy was born in Hopedale MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Nora (O'Connell) Brown. She was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School in Milford, Class of 1942. Mrs. Duffy had been a resident of Hopedale for most of her life and had been employed for over twenty years as administrative assistant at Milford Hospital, retiring about twenty years ago. Mrs. Duffy is survived by 1 Daughter: Kathleen A., wife of Paul Hickey of Milford MA; 1 Granddaughter: Stephanie, wife of David Levine of Lubbock TX; 3 Great Grandsons: Nicholas Levine, Adam Levine and Philip Levin, of Lubbock TX; also nieces and nephews. Mrs. Duffy was the mother of the late John P. Duffy III and the sister of the late Joseph Brown, the late George Brown and the late Kathleen Meade. Her funeral will be held Saturday (July 31st) at 11am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Hopedale MA. Visiting hours will be Friday (July 30th) from 4pm to 7pm.
