Mrs. Gloria (Cecchi) Spiro, 89, of Milford MA died Sunday (February 26, 2023) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Spiro who died in 2019.

Gloria was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Felice and the late Emma (Furlani) Cecchi. She attended Milford public schools as a young girl.

Gloria was first employed as a young girl at the former Porter Shoe Company located in Milford MA and the later worked at the former Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham MA where she met her beloved late husband, Peter. Upon her marriage to Peter, she became a devoted housewife & mother.

Gloria was a longtime resident of Milford MA and loved to go dancing as a younger woman. She also loved flowers, and their beauty, and all kinds of animals, especially cats & dogs. She was also an avid Boston Celtics fan. Gloria loved listening to music, especially Johnny Mathis music. But her favorite past-time was spending time with her beloved family members.

Gloria is survived by her son: Wayne A. Spiro of Milford MA; her nieces & nephews: Robert Samiagio of Milford MA, James Ciru of Worcester MA, Mary Ellen Coauette of Worcester MA, Cindy Chavious of Franklin MA & Karen Forance of Natick MA; also several grandnieces & grandnephews.

Gloria was the aunt of the late Dennis Samiagio and the late Diane Ciru.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday (March 4th) at 12 NOON at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Saturday (March 4th) from 10am to 12 NOON, prior to her Funeral Services.
