Jean Cecile (Paradis) Tatro

On September 15, 2026, the world lost a beautiful soul, Mrs. Jean Cecile (Paradis) Tatro, 69, who most recently resided at Countryside Healthcare in Milford, following a difficult period of declining health. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Allan J. Tatro.

Born in Framingham MA, Jean was the daughter of the late Alverie G. Paradis and the late Rita L. (Heaton) Paradis. She attended Hopkinton MA public schools, and after graduation in 1975, tried her hand at various occupations, eventually finding fulfilling work as a CNA. She worked in various nursing homes, and finally found the perfect fit at Elizabeth Seton Sisters of Charity in Wellesley Hills, where she was employed for over 20 years. She enjoyed working with her patients and strived to make each one feel valued and well cared for.

Jean was known as a wonderful cook who loved to experiment with flavors and cooking methods, delighting her husband with delicious meals when he got home from work. She made sure there were plenty of leftovers for his lunch, and sharing with friends.

She and her husband loved spending time at Salisbury Beach where they vacationed for many years. They also enjoyed time in Florida, where they owned a time share.

She loved gardening, and sitting on her porch, watching and identifying the various birds that visited her feeders.

During her short residence at Countryside, she was known for her friendliness to all. She had a “hello” and a smile for everyone, and could greet everyone by name. She was also known for her big blue eyes, and her quick wit.

Along with her beloved husband of 29 years, she is survived by her step-daughter Christina Lavin and husband Patrick Lavin of NH; her step grandchildren Jack, Bridget, Meghan and Lydia; her siblings, Leona Montville and husband Harold of Bellingham MA, Helene Matyi and husband Frank of Franklin MA, George Paradis and wife Janet of Oakham MA, William Paradis and wife Rita of Hudson NH, her twin brother Andrew Paradis and wife Lisa of Hudson MA, and Joseph Paradis and wife Laurie of Oakham MA. She also leaves many neices and nephews.

Jean was the step-mother of the late Gregory Tatro, and the sister of the late Michael Paradis and the late Philip Paradis.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place, and a Celebration of her Life will be held on SATURDAY (October 3rd) from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with Words of Remembrance to be offered at 1:00pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
