Jeanne F. Smith, 65, life long resident of Milford MA passed suddenly Sunday (May 7, 2023) at her residence as a result of injuries sustained in a fall.

Mother to Camryn T. Pittman of Milford MA, Makyra Heart of Vermont, Matthew Pittman of Quincy MA and Joseph Pittman of Quincy MA; beloved grandmother of Ella Scarlet Nevins of Milford MA; devoted sister of Michael Smith and Daniel Smith of Milford MA; loving sister-in-law of Patricia Smith & loving aunt of Danielle Smith. Also survived by all her loving cousins, family and friends.

Jeanne was born in Framingham MA, the daughter of the late Raymond Smith and the late Louise (Arsenault) Smith. She attended the former St. Mary's Grammar School, the former St. Mary's Central Catholic High School and the former Marian High School. She was also a graduate of Fitchburg State University.

Jeanne loved reclining in her big chair and holding Ella while they talked, played and laughed. Ella was her best friend, nothing made her happier than seeing her granddaughter after a long day. She loved her feet in the sand at the Cape or by the pool in Maine with a Bahama mama in her hand. Jeanne loved the beach and soaking the sun up while jumping in the waves with her daughter. Jeanne loved going to Disney World and just enjoying her life to the fullest.

Jeanne had three successful pre schools called Kids & Company and also an ABC Store that she took great pride in. Most recently she had been employed as a teacher at Just-A-Wee-Day Child Care Center located in Hopedale MA. Jeanne was such a light and loved to help anyone she met. Jeanne had a big heart and always had open arms. Jeanne will be missed by so many dearly, and remembered by everyone.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (May 18th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday (May 19th) at 10am directly at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial of her cremains will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice that deals with child care.
