Mr. Joseph G. Castignetti, 72, of Medway MA died Sunday (February 11, 2024) at Medway Country Manor after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Kelly Ann (Merchant) Castignetti.

Joseph was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late Geno J. Castignetti and the late Mary K. (Drohan) Castignetti. He attended Holliston public schools, graduating from Holliston High School, Class of 1969. He later attended and was a graduate of college.

Joseph was a Vietnam War veteran having served in the US Air Force from 1970 to 1974.

Joseph had been employed for many years as a project manager at the Boston Shipyard. He later worked as a project manager at Sigma-Aldrich Company.

Joseph had been a member of the Holliston VFW and enjoyed going fishing & hiking. He also loved going on "Sunday drives".

Along with his beloved wife of 38 years, he is survived by his daughter: Victoria, wife of Jacob Gogan of Grafton MA; his granddaughter: Emily Gogan of Grafton MA; his 2 siblings: Maureen, wife of Alan Costelow of Long Beach CA and Geno Castignetti and his wife Deborah of Geneseo NY; also several nieces & nephews.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Private Scattering Service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
