Mrs. Lillian A. (Slavin) Kolenda, 90 , died unexpectedly on Sunday (August 11, 2019) at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Kolenda, who died in 1978.

Lillian was born in Bellingham MA , the daughter of the late Walter and the late Lillian (Gilleney) Slavin. .

Lillian had been employed as a nurse's aide at the former Milford Geriatric Authority for many years. She later worked as a nurse's aide for private patients.

Lillian was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and loved playing bingo. But she especially loved spending time with her many family members.

Lillian is survived by her 1 sister: Helen O. Lotfy of Milford MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Lillian was the mother of the late William J. Kolenda and the sister of the late Warren Slavin; the late William Slavin; the late Edward Slavin; the late Louise Watson; the late Mildred Cupka; the late Grace Earl; the late Anna Thobodeau; the late Pearl Barr; the late Mary "mae" Drew and the late Margaret Claflin.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A private committal service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
