Mrs. Lula M. (Dewees) Chalmers, 89, of Douglas MA died Tuesday (May 17, 2022) at Advinia Care @ Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry L. Chalmers, who died in 1992.

Lula was born in Thurmont Maryland. She was first employed as a young woman at the former Porter Shoe Company located in Milford MA. She later worked as a cook at the former Adin Manor Nursing Home in Hopedale MA..

Lula had been a resident of Milford MA and Hopedale MA for most of her life. She had been a resident of Douglas MA since 2014.

Lula is survived by her son Scott Chalmers and his wife Crystal Furness of Douglas MA and her grandson: Jared Julian.

Funeral Services & Burial took place in Thurmont MD. The Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA assisted   the family with the funeral arrangements.
