Maria M. (Costanza) Hunter, 69, of Milford MA, died unexpectedly Friday (June 25, 2021) at Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Glenn S. Hunter.

Maria was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Peter and the late Eleanor (Lanzetta) Costanza. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1970. She also attended Worcester State, where she studied cosmetology & hairdressing.

Maria owned & operated Sir Joseph's Salon located in Bellingham MA for many years. She later worked at Special Effects Salon and at Reggie's Salon.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband of forty-one years, Glenn; her son: Ian C. Hunter and his wife Adrienne of Milford MA; her granddaughter: Rosalie Maria Hunter of Milford MA; her siblings: Peter Costanza of Milford MA, Geraldine Christenson of CA and Lenora Costanza of Martha's Vineyard MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Maria was the sister of the late Joseph P. Costanza, who died in 2020.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life on Wednesday (June 30th) from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow.
