Mrs. Maria (Mersch) MacDonald, 92, of Milford MA, died on July 4, 2019, at Countryside Healthcare of Milford.  She was the beloved wife of William C. MacDonald.

Born in Breitenthal, Germany, to the late Joseph and the late Carolina (Faulhabor) Mersch, Mrs. MacDonald moved t0 Milford after marrying William C. MacDonald in 1954.

Mrs. MacDonald became a stitcher at the Little Gents Shoe Company of Milford, and later, a dietician at the Milford Hospital. She was always proud of her work, but her love was reserved for her family and friends. Her dedication to others meant that no one would want for comfort while she had a say in the matter.

She is survived by her loving family, her husband, William C., her son, William J. and his wife Sulan; her grandson, Kaan and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (July 11th) at 10am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow and internment will take place in the Old St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City NY. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday (July 10th) from 4pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
