Mr. Michael Bodruk, 97, of Milford MA died Friday (October 29, 2021) in Northbridge after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Marko) Bodruk, who died in 2018.

Michael was born in Berezovie Srednin, Poland the son of the late Gregory and the late Maria (Genik) Bodruk. He attended school in Poland as a young boy.

Michael had resided in Poland until 1939 when he was forced to live and work in a German labor camp until 1945. He remained in Germany and came to the United States in 1951 as part of the Catholic Relief Service. He had been a resident of Milford MA since that time.

Michael was first employed at the former Stylon Corporation in Milford and later worked at the former Porter Shoe Company; at the former Draper Corporation and at Waters Corporation, from which he retired.

Michael is survived by his three children: Mary, wife of Edmund Sheehan of Whitinsville MA, Vera, wife of John Ring of Milford MA and Michael Bodruk and his wife Yong of Georgia; his six grandchildren: Timothy Sheehan of Hooksett NH, Katheryne Sheehan of Whitinsville MA, Michael Ring of Washington state, Paul Ring of Virginia, Steven Bodruk of Georgia and Gregory Bodruk of Georgia; also three great grandchildren: Adrianna  and Ethen Bodruk of Georgia and Bennet Ring of Washington state.

His funeral will be held Thursday (November 4th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's  Cemetery, Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Thursday morning (November 4th) from 10:30am to 11:30am, prior to his Funeral Mass.
