Obituary

Mrs. Patricia A. (Fitzpatrick) Carroll, 83, of Milford MA died Sunday (April 7, 2024) surrounded by family at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald P. Carroll Sr., who died in 2018.

Patricia was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late John Fitzpatrick  and the late Blanche (Byrne) Fitzpatrick. She attended Milford public schools and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1958. She also was a graduate of Regis College, Class of 1962.

Patricia then began her successful & fulfilling career as a school teacher working in the Milford School system until her retirement in 1998. Patricia was a longtime member of the Milord Teachers Association and the Massachusetts Teachers Association.

Patricia was also a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Milford. She loved to cook; play cards & quilt with her friends; also loved to travel with her late husband, Donald. Her favorite past time was spending time with her beloved family members, especially her grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her 3 children: Mary R. Desilets and her partner Armenio Borgesof Milford MA, Laurie A. Lynch and her husband Chris of Milford MA, and Donald P. Carroll Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Marlborough MA and predeceased by her son John Carrol. She also leaves her 7 grandchildren: Ryan James Desilets, Brandon Carroll, Jillian Lynch, Griffin Lynch, Kyle Carroll, Maggie Carroll and Abigail Carroll; her 2 siblings: Maureen Dewey of Florida and John Fitzpatrick of Maryland and several nieces, nephews, loving cousins & extended family members.

Her funeral will be held Friday (April 12th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (April 11th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
