Mrs. Patricia A. (McGovern) Afflerbach, 72, of Milford MA died Sunday (October 15, 2023) at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston MA after an illness. She was the beloved wife of Dennis J. Afflerbach.

Patricia was born in Philadelphia PA, the daughter of the late Joseph McGovern and the late Ellen (Lowell) McGovern. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, located in the greater Philadelphia area.

Patricia was a dedicated housewife & mother and had served as a teacher's assistant and then later assistant to the school principal while her children attended school.

Patricia was an avid reader and loved all kinds of crafts. She also loved talking to people and meeting new friends.

Along with her beloved husband of 46 years, she is survived by her 2 children: Denise M. Lafer and her husband Alex of Milford MA and Chris Afflerbach of Milford MA; her 2 grandchildren: Liam Lafer & Vivienne Lafer; her 3 siblings: Eileen McGovern, Marie Ladley & Chrissy Cassidy; also several nieces & nephews.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place There are no formal funeral services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
