Mr. Richard W. "Ricky" Dec, 74, of Hopedale MA died Wednesday evening (February 19, 2025) at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge MA after a lengthy illness.

Ricky was born in Milford MA the son of the late Walter Dec and the late Amanda (Parker) Dec. He was a graduate of Hopedale High School and also the Worcester Boy's Trade School.

Ricky had worked in the construction industry for many years as a self employed builder.

Ricky was a longtime resident of Hopedale MA and had loved to travel.

Ricky is survived by his 4 siblings: Laura Dec of Delray Beach FL, David Dec and his wife Gloria of Hopedale MA, James Dec on Woonsocket RI and Daniel Dec of Barrington NH; his nieces: Lauren Cifizzari of Miami FL and Brianna Cifizzari of Hollywood FL; his nephew: Scott Costanza and his wife Shannon of Pascoag RI; his grandnephew: Jacob Costanza and his wife Ambria of Pascoag RI; his grandniece: Gia Costanza of Pascoag RI.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (March 8th) at 12 NOON at Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA.
