Mr. Roy S. Racine, 63, of Franklin MA and formerly of Milford MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday evening (January 6, 2019) at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA .

Roy was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late William H. and the late Florence L. (Rizzi) Racine. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1973 and had attended Quinnsigamond Community College.

Roy had been employed as a mental health counselor for over 25 years at the former Milford-Whitinsville Hospital, working at the Whitinsville location. He later had been employed at the Walgreens Pharmacy in Milford for about 12 years.

Roy loved his family; his friends; his dog; listening to music; gardening & flowers and his cars.

Roy is survived by his 3 siblings: Donna, wife of Richard Schreier of Petaluma CA, Dennis Racine and his wife Leslye of Milford MA and Maryellen, wife of William Giatas of Millville MA; his longtime partner Paul Lombardi of Franklin MA and many nieces & nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday (January 11th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (January 10th) from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
