Obituary

Mr. Vincent G. Cosentino, 95, of Milford MA died Tuesday evening (June 13, 2023) at Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine M. (Negrotti) Cosentino, who died in 2012.

Vincent was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Salvatore Cosentino and the late Josephine (Liberto) Cosentino. He attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1946.

Vincent had been employed for over 35 years as a typesetter at the Woonsocket Call newspaper and had served as President of the International Typographical Union.

Vincent was a Korean Conflict veteran having served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954.

Vincent was a lifelong resident of Milford MA, a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and had been a member of the former Armenian-American Veterans Club of Milford; a longtime member of the Milford High School Boosters Club and a longtime member of the Milford Town Democratic Committee.

Vincent was also a member of the Frohsinn Club in Shrewsbury MA; a member of the "Weekly Breakfast Club" and had also been a member of the Milford Orchestra as a young man. While in high school he had become proficient in playing the violin and the tuba.

Vincent had also served as a volunteer coach for the Milford Farm Team Baseball League. He was an avid New York Yankees fan while his late wife Lorraine was a die-hard Red Sox Fan. He loved to cook and enjoyed eating a good meal. He loved preparing Italian meals for his whole family which he did weekly right up until the last week of his life. He took great pride in his vegetable garden, using many items in the meals that he prepared.

Vincent was also known as the family handyman and fixer of all things. He was also an avid woodworker best known for his bird houses. But above all else, his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family members, especially his children and his grandchildren. Whatever his children or grandchildren were doing, he was their biggest super fan.

Vincent is survived by his 6 children: Pamela Belloli and her husband Christopher Belloli of Hopedale MA, Paul Cosentino and his wife Luanne Cosentino of Mendon MA, Vincent Cosentino and his wife Susan Cosentino of Hopedale MA, Lori Baranauskas and her husband Lawrence Baranauskas of Milford MA, Tara Mazzini and her husband Peter Mazzini of Milford MA and Andrea Ennis and her husband Brian Ennis of Methuen MA; his 8 grandchildren: Cheryl Velasquez of Mendon MA, Caryn Cosentino of Mendon MA, John Peter Marcello of Worcester MA, Loren Baranauskas of Shrewsbury MA, Andrew Baranauskas and his wife Alli of Plainville MA, Anthony Mazzini of Bellevue KY, Natalie Mazzini of Milford MA and Thalia Ennis of Westfield MA; his 2 great grandchildren: Eliana Baranauskas of Shrewsbury MA and Vincent Velasquez of Mendon MA; also many nieces & nephews.

Vincent was the brother of the late Ralph Cosentino, the late Rose Cosentino, the late Catherine Tocci, the late Elena Ruscitti, the late Fay Cosentino and the late Joseph Cosentino.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Funeral Service will be held SATURDAY June 24th at 12 NOON at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial of his cremains, with Military Honors, will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held SATURDAY June 24th from 10:30am to 12 NOON at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to his Funeral Services.
