Mr. William J. Belforti, 90, of Deland FL and formerly of Hopedale MA, died Friday (September 27, 2024) at the Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee FL after an illness.

William was born in Hopedale MA, the son of the late Eugene Louis Belforti and the late Dena (SanClemente) Belforti.He was a graduate of Hopedale High School and also a graduate of Nichols College.

William was first employed as a young man at the former Draper Corporation located in Hopedale MA. He later worked for many years at Bose Corporation working at their Framingham MA & Westborough MA locations.

William had been a resident of Florida for the past 26 years. He was an avid golfer and had been a longtime member of the Hopedale Country Club. While residing in Florida he had been active in various senior golf leagues also.

William was also a longtime & ardent fan of the former Cleveland Indians Baseball team, now known as the Cleveland Guardians. He was also a longtime fan of the New England Patriots.

William is survived by his 2 sons: Dan Belforti of West Palm Beach FL and formerly of Milford MA & Mark Belforti of Wareham MA and formerly of Milford MA; his 3 grandchildren: Audrey Belforti & Gavin Belforti of Holliston MA and Geo Belforti of West Palm Beach FL; his nieces, nephews & cousins; his longtime companion: Jane Doloff of Deland FL; and his former wife: Ann Marie (Areano) Belforti, formerly of Milford MA and now of Wareham MA.

William was the brother of the late Donald Belforti, who died this past August.

His funeral will be held Friday (October 11th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday (October 11th) from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to his Funeral Mass.
