Alane M. Charzenski) Baker, 78, of Milford MA died Friday (February 13, 2026) at the UMASS-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA after a sudden illness.
Alane was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Henry Charzenski and the late Henen (Wojnowski) Charzenski. She attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School, Class of 1965. She was also a graduate of secretarial school in Boston MA.
Alane was first employed as a young woman at the former Hill Food Service located in Milford MA. Following that she was employed at the Ealling Corporation located in Natick MA; at the Digital Equipment Corporation located in Hudson MA and later at Compaq Computer Corporation and finally at Intel Corporation.
Alane loved to knit & crochet and even spin her own yarn. She also had raised alpacas at one point in time on her property.
Alane is survived by her 2 sons: Michael J. Baker and his wife Martine L’Etoile of Nottingham NH and Christopher P. Baker of Milford MA; her 4 siblings: Susan Kozlowski of Milford MA, Kathryn Charzenski of Milford MA, James Charzenski and his wife Christine of Milford MA and Lorri Newton and her husband Richard Newton of Corpus Christi TX; also several nieces & nephews.
Alane was the sister of the late Jean H. Charzenski who died in 1951.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Her funeral will be held SATURDAY (May 9th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial of her cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held SATURDAY (May 9th) from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA prior to her Funeral Mass.
