Alfred Cifizzari Obituary

Mr. Alfred W. Cifizzari, 88, of Milford MA, died Friday (January 8, 2021) at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket RI after an illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannette (Marcus) Cifizzari, who died in 2011.

 

Alfred was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Luigi and the late Ida (Spenciero) Cifizzari and attended Milford public schools. He was first employed as a young man as a truck driver at Parker’s Express, located in Ashland MA. He then worked as a driver for P&H Trucking located in Hopedale MA.He later worked as a driver for Bradlee’s Department Stores and finally at the former Seaver’s Express, located in Milford MA.

 

Alfred was a US Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Italian-American Veterans Post of Milford. He was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford.

 

Alfred was an avid sportsman and loved watching wrestling on television, especially with his grandson. He was also an avid NE Patriots fan; Boston Red Sox fan; Boston Bruins fan & Boston Celtic fan.

 

Alfred is survived by his daughter: Linda J. Hickey of Milford MA; his son: Frank Cifizzari of Hanoi, Viet Nam; 3 grandchildren: Jessica Cifizzari, Janine Cifizzari and Joseph Hickey; 6 great grandchildren: Alexa Cifizzari, Ava Cifizzari, Leo Cifizzari, Zack Cifizzari, Joseph Hickey Jr and Robert Hickey; also his 2 sisters: Emma Engles of Wisconsin and Lillian Santos of Natick MA; and many nieces & nephews.

 

Alfred was the father of the late Alfred W. Cifizzari Jr. and the late John Cifizzari. He was the grandfather of the late Patrick Hickey and the brother of the late Pasquale “Pat” Cifizzari, the late Vincent Cifizzari, the late Louis Cifizzari, and the lateLucy Lenzi.

 

Due to the COVID-19 gathering restrictions and the family’s concern for the wellbeing of family members & friends a Private Graveside Committal Service, with Military Honors, will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no visiting hours. Social distancing protocols & use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to the American Heart Association, P O Box #417005, Boston MA 02241.
