Alfred N. Lanzetta, 100 years old, died Sunday (May 29, 2022) after a period of declining health. He was a lifelong Milford resident and a WWII US Army veteran of the European campaign. He was the recipient of a purple heart for wounds suffered in Germany.
Alfred was the son of the late Nicola and Carmela (Ferraro) Lanzetta and the husband of the late Alexandrina (Freitas) Lanzetta who died in 2009.
Alfred was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters Anthony, Joseph, Jerry (killed in action Normandy June 1944), Alfonzina Ferroni, Josephine Glynn, Elizabeth Schiappa and Eleanor Costanza. Also, predeceased by a daughter Sandra Daigle and a grandson Jeffery Lanzetta.
Alfred is survived by two sons Al and his wife Ronda Lanzetta of Shrewsbury MA, Dennis Lanzetta and his longtime companion Jane Calabrese of South Dennis MA and a son in-law Thomas Daigle of Milford MA. He has seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Graveside Committal Service, with Military Honors, on Saturday, June 25th at 11:00am in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Road (Rte 109) in Milford MA.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
