Mrs. Alice L. (Tower) Luby, 94, of Milford MA, died Sunday (May 15, 2022) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert R. Luby, who died in 2014.
Alice was born in Medway MA, the daughter of the late Forrest Tower and the late Bertha (Newton) Tower. She attended Medway public schools and was a graduate of Medway High School, Class of 1946.
Alice was first employed as a young woman as a secretary at the former Draper Corporation located in Hopedale MA. She later worked as a medical office administrator at various doctor’s offices, including Milford Radiology.
Alice had been a resident of Milford MA since 1950 and was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Milford MA.
Alice is survived by her 4 children: Ellen Luby of Milford MA, Michael Luby of Milford MA, Thomas Luby and his wife Barbara of Shrewsbury MA and Joseph Luby and his wife Deborah of Milford MA; her 6 grandchildren: Bianca Young, Jessica Pelloth, Joshua Luby, Katie Luby, Nicole Luby and Jason Luby; her 4 great grandchildren: Gage Young, Jazmyn Young, Keegan Pelloth and Jameson Pelloth; also her dear friend: Laura LaRock of Milford MA.
Her funeral will be held Friday (May 20th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Friday morning (May 20th) from 10am to 11:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Mass.
