Obituary

 

Mrs. Anita V. (Comolli) Pezzella, 95, of Hopedale MA and formerly of Mendon MA died Wednesday (June 24, 2020) at the Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester MA after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence R. Pezzella, who died in 1974.

 

Anita was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Frank and the late Annie (Tognazzi) Comolli. She grew up in the Plains Section of Milford. She attended Milford public schools and was first employed at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale MA. She later worked at Telechron Corporation in Ashland MA and finally at the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital for eighteen years as a dietician, retiring in 1996.

 

Anita was a longtime communicant of the former St. Michael’s Church in Mendon MA and past-president of the church’s Catholic Womens Club. She loved to paint, sew and ceramics. Anita loved to go out to eat with family & friends. To Anita, family was everything.

 

Anita is survived by her two sons: Thomas L. Pezzella and his wife Lisa of Webster MA and Robert F. Pezzella and his wife Tracy of Newburyport MA; her grandchildren: Katherine, wife of Christopher Hall of Glastonbury CT, Grace Pezzella of Washington DC, John Pezzella of Washington DC, Cristin Tagman of Worcester MA, and Scott Houlihan of Worcester MA; her great granddaughter: Charlotte Tagman of Worcester MA; and several nieces & nephews: John & Lynda Comolli of Barnstable MA, Nancy & Butch Magurn of Watertown MA, Ken Comolli of St. Petersburg FL, Steve & Cindy Comolli of Mendon MA and Paul & Janice Comolli of Highland MD.

 

Anita was the sister of the late Frank Comolli; the late Victoria Solovieff; the late Earl Comolli and the late Alfred Comolli and the aunt of the late Joyce Minardi.  

 

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA at the convenience of the family. Burial of her cremains will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no visiting hours. Social distancing protocols & use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
