Ann N. (Doyle) Murphy

Mrs. Ann N. (Doyle) Murphy, 85, of Milford MA died Wednesday (April 2, 2025) after a period of declining health surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Murphy who died in 2003.

Ann was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Charles Doyle and the late Mary (Zepf) Doyle. She attended St. Mary’s Grammar School as a young girl and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School.

Ann was first employed as a young woman as the secretary to the Dean of Framingham State College. Following her marriage to her late husband John she became a devoted housewife and mother.

Ann was a lifelong resident of Milford and had been a member of The Friends of the Milford Town Library. She also had been a member of the Boylston Schul-Verein German Club in Walpole MA.

Ann was an avid reader and also loved to do crossword puzzles. She also loved gardening & birdwatching.

Ann is survived by her three children: Tara O’Brien of Milford MA, Deborah Murphy of Milford MA and Thomas Murphy of Milford MA; also her cousins: Barbara Harrington of Franklin MA, Ann Zepf of Lynn MA and John Zepf of Williston Park Village NY.

Her Funeral Services will be held THURSDAY (April 10th) at 12 NOON at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held THURSDAY morning (April 10th) from 11:00am to 12 Noon, prior to her Funeral Services. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford.
