Ann Marie E. (Areano) Belforti

Mrs. Ann Marie (Areano) Belforti, 88, of Wareham MA and formerly of Milford MA  died Saturday (July 19, 2025) at Tobey Memorial Hospital in Wareham MA after an illness. She was the beloved mother of Dan Belforti and Mark Belforti.

Ann Marie was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Paul Areano and the late Filomenna (Gogliormella) Areano. She attended the former Sacred Heart Grammar School and was a graduate of Milford High School.

Ann Marie was a devoted housewife & mother and after raising her young sons she was first employed as a part-time cashier at the former Big D Supermarket. She later worked as a manager at the former Data General Corporation where she attained the position as corporate cash manager.

Ann Marie was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Womens Club and had served as a President of that club.

Ann Marie loved to travel and also enjoyed her trips to the casino. She was known for her warm personality and for being accepting & loving towards everyone she met.

Ann Marie is survived by her 2 sons: Dan Belforti of West Palm Beach FL and formerly of Milford MA & Mark Belforti of Wareham MA and formerly of Milford MA; her 3 grandchildren: Audrey Belforti & Gavin Belforti of Holliston MA and Geo Belforti of West Palm Beach FL; also several nieces & nephews.

Ann Marie was the sister of the late Anthony Areano of Hopedale MA; the late Josephine Fertitta of Foxboro MA and the late Paul Areano of Milford MA.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday (July 30th)  at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (July 29th) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
