Mrs. Anna (Coniaris) Comolli, 96, formerly of Gloucester MA and Milford MA passed away on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) in Foxboro MA at the home of her daughter Rhea Comolli and Joseph Monti, after a period of declining health.
An accomplished painter, Anna was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and exhibited widely throughout Massachusetts including The French Library. She served on the board of directors of the Boston Visual Artists Union helping to promote many local artists, brought First Night to Milford and served as an Art Teacher in the Milford Public Schools. Her website www.annacomolli.com contains examples of her art from her earliest days as a costume designer to the extraordinary paintings from her travels over the decades.
Anna leaves behind her daughter, Rhea Comolli of Foxboro MA; her son Victor Comolli of Marlboro MA; her son Stephen Comolli who pre-deceased her in death March 10, 2021, in Las Vegas NV. Also her grandchildren: Jeffrey Kell & his wife Amy Kell, Jarrett Kell and Attorney Alexa Magrath; her great grandchildren: Camden & Brynna Kell, Arianna & Elias Kell and their mother Melissa Gildersleeve; her sister Dorothy Peacor and her cousin Billy Coniaris; also many nieces & nephews.
She is predeceased by per parents Porta and Charles Coniaris; her brothers & sisters: Nicholas Coniaris, Helen McGinnis, Athena Grabow, Dr. John Coniaris, Mary Coniaris, Jean Rosenblatt, William Coniaris, Charlie Coniaris and cousin Eleni Stammy Coniaris.
Anna was a resident of the Doolittle Home in Foxboro MA from July 13, 2021 to March 31, 2025, receiving great care by their fun and loving great staff.
A great cook, avid reader, and loyal friend, Anna will be missed.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and a Private Committal Service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
