Anna M. (DeFlumera) Plichta

Mrs. Anna M. (DeFlumera) Plichta, 94, of Milford MA died Monday (February 24, 2025) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Plichta who died in 2006. 

Anna was born in Medfield MA, the daughter of the late Nicole DeFlumera and the late Angelina (Losco) DeFlumera. She attended Medfield public schools as a young girl, as well as Medfield High School.

Anna was first employed as a young woman at the former Francis Inn located in Medfield MA. She later worked at the former Kartiganer Hat Shop located in Upton MA. She later worked along with her late husband as a manager of the  Cape Way Motel located in Norwell MA.

Anna was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA.

Anna is survived by her 2 sons: Joseph M. Plichta and his wife Frances Plichta of Milford MA and John F. Plichta and his wife Becky Plichta of Litchfield NH; her 6 grandchildren:  Michael Plichta and his wife Stephanie of New Canaan CT, Lauren Ham and her husband Rick Ham of Woburn MA, Andrea Plichta and her fiancé Ryan Missagia of Uxbridge MA, Jamie Plichta of Jacksonville FL, Jody Bozek of Nashua NH and Jason Reed of Hudson NH; her 9 great grandchildren: Cameron Plichta, Joshua Bozek, Raegan Bozek, Abby Bozek, Grace Plichta, Lillian Plichta, Ricky Ham, Emma Ham and Jason Reed Jr.; also several nieces & nephews.

Anna was the sister of the late Angelina Balcom of Medfield MA, who died in 2024.

Her funeral will be held Friday (February 28th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday (February 28th) from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to her Funeral Mass.
