Anne Hogarth Obituary

Mrs. Anne L. (Hayes) Hogarth, 87, of Hopedale MA died Saturday (April 20, 2024) at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston MA after an illness. She was the beloved wife of John Hogarth.

 

Anne was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late John A. Hayes and the late Mildred H. (McGrath) Hayes. She attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Hopedale High School, Class of 1954. She was also a graduate of Becker Junior College in Worcester MA.

 

Anne was first employed as a young woman working as a secretary at the former Draper Corporation located in Hopedale MA and then later at the former Hill Food Service located in Milford MA. Following that Anne began her most important endeavor, being a devoted housewife & mother. Anne loved the idea of raising her family.

 

Anne was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale MA. While raising her children she had happily volunteered as a den mother and she also loved to bowl. But her favorite past time was spending time with her beloved family members, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

 

Along with her beloved husband of 67 years, she is survived by her 2 children: Michael J. Hogarth of Bradenton FL and Patricia A. Parent and her husband Bill Parent of Milford MA; her 3 grandchildren: Kevin Pighetti and his partner Chelsee O’Meara of Franklin MA, Karen Pighetti and her fiancé Jeff Kerrigan of Milford MA and Kristopher Pighetti of Milford MA; her 4 great grandchildren: Olivia Kerrigan, Liam Kerrigan, Charlotte Kerrigan and Luca Pighetti; her sister: Barbara E. Sullivan of Medfield MA; also several nieces & nephews.

 

Anne was the sister of the late John “Jack” Hayes.

 

A Private Funeral will be held Saturday (April 27th) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (April 27th) at 12 NOON in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. A Private Committal Service will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery. There are no funeral home visiting hours.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New England Healing Sports Association (NEHSA), 180 Mount Sunapee Road, #2135, Newbury NH 03255.
