Barbara M. (Flaherty) Berardi

Mrs. Barbara M. (Flaherty) Berardi, 100, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2021. She was the beloved wife for seventy-one years of the late Pasquale R. “Pat” Berardi who died in 2020.

Barbara was born in Milford Hospital in 1921, and she was the daughter of the late John L. Flaherty and the late Maude (Esmond) Flaherty and lived in Medway and Milford all of her life.

She was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for twenty-three years retiring in 1990. During WW II she served three years in the US Navy at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington DC and was very proud of her time spent in the service.

Barbara leaves behind her son Paul Berardi and his wife Susan of Schriever, Louisiana. Her daughters Jane and her husband Michael Malloy of Pembroke MA and Christine Berardi and Gene Gaal of Mendon MA. Also two grandsons: Cody Berardi and his wife Stefanie & Bruce Berardi and his wife Brittany, along with two great grandchildren: Bradley and Brady; also many beloved nieces & nephews.

The Berardi family would like to thank the staff at Atria in Hopedale and The Bridges in Pembroke for al their kindness and care.

Her funeral will be held Friday (December 3rd) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday (December 3rd) from 10:30am to 11:30am, prior to her Funeral Mass.

Due to the spike in the COVID-19 virus and it's different variant strains and the family's concerns for the wellbeing of everyone, the use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services.
