Bette Ann (Besozzi) Anderson

Mrs. Bette Ann (Besozzi) Anderson, 77, of Sandwich MA died Wednesday (October 15, 2025)  at the McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich MA after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Christopher W. Anderson.

Bette Ann was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Frederick Besozzi Jr. and the daughter of Dorothy B. (Bishop) Besozzi of Milford MA. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1966. She then received her bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg State College in 1970. Bette Ann also attained her Master’s Degree in Education from the University Mississippi.

Bette Ann had resided for many years in Las Vegas NV, where she worked as a school teacher. She had been a resident of Sandwich MA these last few years.

Bette Ann was an avid reader and also loved to travel.

Along with her beloved husband of 55 years, she is survived by her mother: Dorothy B. (Bishop) Besozzi of Milford MA; her daughter: Amy Munroe and her husband Jeff of Boise Idaho; her son: Gregory Anderson and his wife Rochelle of Dennison TX; her 4 grandchildren: Alexandra Krueger and her husband Patrick, Victoria Bonar, Ashley Anderson & Catherine Bonar; her 3 great grandchildren: Gwendolyn, Anastasia & Elizabeth; her 4 siblings: Mary Jane Meagher of Medford MA, Susan Besozzi of Milford MA, Brenda Vargas and her husband Peter Vargas of Attleboro MA and William Besozzi of Milford MA; also several nieces nephews.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on SATURDAY (November 8th) at 10:00AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial of her cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no funeral home visiting hours.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959.
