Mr. Bruce P. Mailman, 73, of Mendon MA died Monday (October 30, 2023) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness.
Bruce was born in Worcester MA, the son of the late Percy L. Mailman Jr. and the late Dorothy G. (Bloomfield) Mailman. He was a graduate of Burncoat High School in Worcester MA, Class of 1968. He also attained his associates degree from Quninsigamond Community College.
Bruce had been employed for 43 years as a lineman at the former Mass Electric Company, which later became National Grid, retiring in 2012. Bruce was also a Vietnam War US Army veteran, having served from 1968 to 1970, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and traveling & also loved spending time in Yarmouth on Cape Cod. He also loved to read multiple newspapers each day and loved playing “Solitaire”, but his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family members & friends.
Bruce is survived by his longtime partner, Linda A. Grover of Mendon MA; his 2 sons: Paul E. Mailman and his wife Brandie of North Port FL and Kevin Mailman and his wife Carissa of Rutland MA; his 2 step-sons: Damon T. Grover of Mendon MA and Jason M. Grover and his wife Ashley of Mendon MA; his 10 grandchildren: Alexia L. Alvarez, Camden T. Mailman, Emma R. Mailman, Audrey R. Mailman, Jakob A. Mailman, Olivia J. Mailman, Thomas J. Grover, Brandon Crouch, Cody Crouch & Hailey Crouch; his great grandson: Ezra Mailman; his 2 sisters: Susan M. Sweeney and her husband Timothy of Orlando FL & Nancy A. Heid and her husband Richard of Aiken SC; also many nieces & nephews.
Bruce was the father of the late Jeffrey L. Mailman and the grandfather of the late Paul E. Mailman Jr.
In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the future. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
