Carl W. Eden

Mr. Carl W. Eden, 79, of Hopedale MA died unexpectedly on Tuesday (November 4, 2025) at his residence.

Carl was born in  Boston MA  and was the son of the late Edward Eden and the late Irene (Johnson) Eden. He attended Hopedale public schools as a young boy.

Carl had owned & operated his own landscaping business in the greater Milford are for many years. Prior to that he had worked, as a young man, as the caretaker at the Hopedale Community House. He was a longtime resident of Hopedale MA.

Carl was an avid bowler and was an accomplished candle pin bowler as a young man. He was also an avid sports fan of all kinds of sports, especially the New England sports teams. He loved spending time with his family members at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. He also loved hanging out & joking with his many friends at the former Tradesman Tavern in Milford, and especially loved meeting his longtime friend, Andy Cox, for coffee each morning.

Carl is survived by his daughter: Carlette C. Roda and her husband Domingos Roda of Milford MA; and his nephew: Jeff Billings.

Carl was the brother of the late Judy Stanas and the uncle of the late Tobby Billings.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Private Committal Service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Milford MA at the convenience of his family. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
