Mr. Carlos Eduardo Silva, 59, of Bellingham MA, died Monday (November 22, 2021) at Morton Hospital in Taunton MA. He was the beloved husband of Rita A. (Huaman) Silva.
Carlos was born in Lima, Peru the son of the late Carlos E. Silva Sr. and the late Esther (Verlade) Silva. Carlos came to the United States at the age of ten and studied at Keefe Technical High School in Framingham MA. He had a passion for cars and studied mechanics.
Carlos initially did machinery work at various locations and did factory work in Milford and Hopkinton. He later worked as an automobile mechanic and had been employed for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a mechanic at the MBTA.
Carlos loved chocolate; Peruvian cuisines that he would prepare for the family. Cookouts and family gatherings were his dedication. He “always loved to be there for one another”. He also was a practical joker and loved his music. He also loved Sponge Bob Square Pants; action movies; his morning black coffee; Chinese food on the weekends; loved family gatherings and giving his kids 100% of his love. He also was a dog lover.
Along with his beloved wife of 28 years, he is survived by his children: Karina Fernandez Espinoza; Raquel Tacuri; Dana Silva and Carlos Silva; his grandchildren: Karter, Lunabella, Nia, Kaileb and Malakai; also 3 step-children: Angye, Sthuar and Nicole.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (December 4th) at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow his Funeral Mass. Visiting hours will be Friday (December 3rd) from 6pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
