Obituary

Mrs. Catherine L. (Coffey) Morin, 92, of Milford MA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (February 8, 2020) at her winter home in St. Petersburg FL . She was the dedicated & loving wife of Clarence G. Morin for seventy-two years.

Catherine was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Francis and the late Lena (Pessotti) Coffey. She was a lifelong Milford resident and a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.

Catherine was a member of the St. Mary’s High School Class of 1945. In her earlier years she worked at the former Telechron Company of Ashland MA. Later, while raising her young family, and for many years after, she often worked alongside her husband Clarence in the family photography business, Morin’s Studio.

Catherine enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, birdwatching and relaxing by the ocean. She was a fan of all the Boston teams, but especially loved baseball. She watched every Red Sox game and also rooted for her Tampa Bay Rays.

More than anything, she cherished the times spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were always the recipients of her big hugs and “special treats”. Catherine will always be remembered for her warm heart, accepting ways and her strong Christian faith. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Along with her beloved husband, she is survived by her three daughters: Susan Schoenberg and her husband Kenneth of Milford MA; Barbara Savage and her husband Stephen of Milford MA and Nancy Morin of Milford MA. She was pre-deceased by her sons Thomas R. Morin and Gary Morin. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and one foster grandson: Amy and Eric Schoenberg, Christopher and MaryKate Morin, Kelly Veneziano, Scott Savage, Lori Beauchamp, Eli Lebron, Ben, Joey, Angie and Lucy Morin; nine great grandchildren and three foster great grandchildren.

In addition, she leaves her only sister: Theresa Garfield of Framingham MA; her sisters-in-law: Rita Coffey and Gloria Coffey; and daughters-in-law Barbara Morin of Franklin MA and Sue Morin of Phoenix AZ; as well as many nieces & nephews.
