Cecile Marie (Sabourin) Malnati

Mrs. Cecile M. (Sabourin) Malnati, 96, of Hopedale MA died Thursday evening (May 1, 2025) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Malnati who died in 2001 and the devoted mother the late Alfred J. Malnati Jr.of Jacksonville FL.

Cecile was born in Grafton MA, the daughter of the late Alfred Sabourin and the late Freda (Noel) Sabourin. She attended Grafton public schools and was a graduate of the Worcester Girls Trade School, Class of 1946.

Cecile had been employed for many years as a sales clerk at the former Mammoth Mart Store and at the former K-Mart Store located in Milford MA. Following that she was employed at Johnny Jack’s Restaurant in Milford MA.

Cecile was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA and had resided in Hopedale MA for many years.

Cecile is survived by her son: Robert M. Malnati and his wife Colleen of Hopedale MA; her 2 grandsons: R. J. Malnati and his fiancée Christine Lucier of Hopedale MA and Michael M. Malnati and his wife Abigail of Rumford RI; her 2 great grandchildren: Colton Malnati & Reid Malnati of Rumford RI; also several nieces & nephews.

Cecile was the mother of the late Alfred J. Malnati of Jacksonville FL; and the sister of the late Leo Sabourin and the late Roland Sabourin.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Private Graveside Committal of her cremains will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA at the convenience of the family. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
