Cheryl Lee (Miller) Pickering

Mrs. Cheryl L. (Miller) Pickering, 76, of Milford MA died Tuesday (January 27, 2026) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was the beloved wife of Donald W. Pickering.

Cheryl was born in Millbury MA, the daughter of the late Clarence Miller and the late Loretta (Couture) Carroll Miller. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1968. She had grown up in Millbury MA as a young girl, and had been a resident of Milford MA since 1961.

Cheryl was first employed as a young woman working for AT&T in Framingham MA from 1968 to 1971. She later was employed from 1990 to 1996 at The Body Shop, located in Milford MA, working as a personal trainer.

Cheryl was a member of the South Charlton Reservoir Association and loved water skiing in her youth. She also loved motorcycle riding, and bass fishing with her brother Rodney. She was an avid soft ball player and participated in womens soft ball leagues into her early forties. She later loved boating with her granddaughters & her new great grandson.

Along with her husband of 55 years, Donald, she is survived by her son: Dana Pickering and his wife Jacqueline of Milford MA; her 2 granddaughters: Kayla A. Pickering of Melrose MA and Hannah I. Pickering Macedo and her husband Iago Macedo and their son Briggs, Cheryl's great grandson; her sister: M. Elaine (Carroll) Ferrelli of Amesbury MA; her brother: Robert Carroll of Millbury MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Cheryl was the sister of the late Rodney K. Miller of Millbury MA and the late John Carroll of Las Vegas NV.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial  on SATURDAY (February 7th) at 10:00AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 17 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial of her cremains will follow in North Purchase Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
