Clotilda R. "Cotie" (Givani) Calabrese

Mrs. Clotilda R. “Cotie” (Givani) Calabrese, 93, of Hopedale MA died unexpectedly on Saturday (December 26, 2020). She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Calabrese, who died in 1991.

Mrs. Calabrese was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Lina (Barberi) Givani. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School. She was a longtime employee of the former Mass Electric Company, working as the administrative assistant to the meter department superintendent.

Mrs. Calabrese was a longtime resident of Hopedale MA and a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale MA. She loved to listen to music, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and her favorite holiday was Christmas. Her favorite past-time was spending time with her beloved family members.

She is survived by her three sisters;  Pauline Calderara of Milford NH, Anna Milliman of Cedar City UT,

Angelina Harty of Summerdale AL;    also many nieces & nephews.

She was the sister of the late Renaldo Givani, the late Julia Panera, the late Lillian Jencks and the late Angelo Givani.

Due to the COVID-19 gathering restrictions and the family’s concern for the wellbeing of family members and friends a Private Graveside Committal Service will be held at Hopedale Village Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale MA at a future date, when it is safe to gather.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA 01747.
