Dana Franklin Moran

Mr. Dana F. Moran, 64, of Humble TX and formerly of Hopedale MA died Wednesday (December 29, 2021) in Humble TX after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Lori A. (Acquafresca) Moran.

Dana was born in Framingham MA, the son of the late John L. Moran Jr. and the late Marilyn E. (Wood) Moran. He was a graduate of Hopedale High School, Class of 1975 and also a graduate of the former Boston State College in 1980.

Dana had resided in Texas most of his life and had been a member of the Houston Police Department starting in 1981 and retired as a Sergeant in December of 2012.

Dana was an avid ice hockey player participating in various ice hockey leagues in the Houston TX area. He was also an avid runner.

Along with his beloved wife of forty years, he is survived by his two brothers: John L. Moran III and his wife Margaret “Peggy” Moran of Millville MA and Shawn M. Moran of Massapequa NY; his sister-in-law: Patricia Moran of Brookline MA; also several nieces & nephews.

Dana was the brother of the late Gary L. Moran and the brother-in-law of the late Carolyn E. (Lebenberg) Moran. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday (January 10th) at 11am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Monday morning (January 10th) from 10am to 11am, prior to his Funeral Services.

Due to COVID-19 & the family’s concerns for the wellbeing of everyone, the use face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral services.
