Mr. Daniel P. Glennon, 86, 0f Milford MA, died Sunday (February 13, 2022) at the Milford Regional Hospital after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Carol E. (Bon Tempo) Glennon.
Daniel was born in Milford MA, the son of the late James and the late Mary (DeVenuto) Glennon. He attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1953. He also attended UMASS-Amherst.
Daniel was a US Army veteran having served in Heidelberg Germany during the Korean Conflict.
Daniel was first employed at Computer Control, which was located in Framingham MA. He then was employed at Honeywell Corporation in Newton MA and then Computervision in Bedford MA. He later worked at GCA Computer Company located in Andover MA.
Following his successful career in the computer industry, he started his second career as a real estate agent, working for Larkin Realty, and later Dallamora Realty located in Milford MA.
Daniel loved fishing, including clamming & shell fishing. He also loved to make stained glass pieces. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and also loved to go bird watching. He loved to study geographical maps of all kinds and loved driving the “back roads” of Massachusetts. He also loved to travel with his beloved wife, taking numerous trips throughout the United State & Europe. Some of Daniel's favorite moments were spent at the family's summer house located in Brewster MA.
Along with his beloved wife of fifty-seven years, he is survived by his 4 children: Cara E., wife of David Truax of Sorrento FL, Michael J. Glennon and his wife Janine of Denver CO, D. Peter Glennon and his wife Amy Voll of Cape Cod and Christina M., wife of Todd Czerwinski of San Diego CA; also his 4 grandchildren: Matteo J. Glennon, Nicholas L. Voll, John D. Czerwinski and Antonia R. Czerwinski; his 2 brothers: John Glennon and his wife Virginia of Sorrento FL and Thomas Glennon and his wife Patricia of Naples FL; also several nieces & nephews.
Daniel was the brother of the late Catherine Villano; the late Lt. James Glennon, (US Army) and the late William Glennon.
In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends will be invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA on SATURDAY (May 21st) at 12 NOON. Burial of his cremains, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. There will be no funeral home visiting hours.
Due to COVID-19 concerns the family requests the use of face masks for all facets of the funeral services.
