Mr. David F. Giancola, 70, of Milford MA died Saturday (April 30, 2022) at the UMASS-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Aline M. (Polikowski) Giancola.
David was born in Marlborough MA, the son of the late Romeo F. Giancola and the late Agnes J. (Leonardi) Giancola. He was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1969 and a graduate of Northeastern University, Class of 1983.
David had been a resident of Milford MA since 2010 and prior to that had resided in Holliston MA from 1992 to 2010; Hopedale MA from 1988 to 1992 and Milford MA again from 1977 to 1988.
David loved spending time playing & watching golf. He was also an avid NE Patriots fan and was a season ticket holder for over 25 years. He also loved taking trips to Cape Cod and Bermuda, as well as long drives around New England, all with his beloved wife Aline. David also loved orchestrating & hosting large family holiday gettogethers.
Along with his beloved wife of 48 years, he is survived by his 4 children: David N. Giancola and his wife Julia Giancola of Upton MA, Lauren M. Giancola and her husband Alexander Faje of Melrose MA, Carolyn A. Judge and her husband John Judge of Bellingham MA and Cheryl A. Giancola of Bellingham MA; his 4 grandsons: Jacob Giancola & Joshua Giancola of Upton MA and Jackson Judge & William Judge of Bellingham MA; his sister: Lois Ollis and her husband Robert Ollis of Holden MA; and several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will be held Thursday (May 5th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday (May 4th) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
