David Edward Lopes

Mr. David E. Lopes, 65, of Milford MA, died unexpectedly on Thursday (December 12, 2024) at his residence.

David was born in Framingham MA, the beloved son of the late Dr. Joseph P. Lopes and the late Ann (Belforti) Lopes. He attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1977. He was also a graduate of the former Framingham State College, Class of 1982.

David had been employed for many years at his alma mater, now known as Framingham State University, working as an IT technician at the university.

David is survived by his brother: Joe; his nephew: Caleb Lopes and his wife Kimberly of Milford MA; his niece: Mia Lopes and her husband Brian Hanley of Providence RI; also his grandnieces & grandnephews.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. His Funeral Services will be held Friday (December 27th) at 11:00AM at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. Burial of his cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday morning (December 27th) from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, prior to his Funeral Services.
