David Presley McKinney

Mr. David Presley McKinney, 70, of Milford MA died Monday (February 21, 2022) at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Jason Barry Garland.

David was born in Memphis TN, the son of the late James Franklin McKinney and the late Ruth M. (Savage) McKinney. 

Along with his beloved husband of 23 years and their pet dog “Albus”, he is survived by his daughter: Christine Rodrigues and her fiancé Andrew Morton of Jamestown NY;  5 grandchildren: Ryleigh Rodrigues, Elijah Rodrigues, Rynae Darr, Jace Morton and Xavier Morton; his 4 siblings: Pamelia McKinney of Memphis TN, James Franklin McKinney of Albuquerque NM, Christopher Stricker of Mesa AZ and Kathy Stricker-Ruttman of Corpus Christi TX; also nieces and nephews Edward McGowen and Meg McGowen of Memphis TN and CJ and Hannah Rentz of Simpsonville SC.

David was the brother of the late Samuel McKinney.

David attended Columbia Military Academy and earned an associates degree from Lamson Business College in Tucson, AZ. David worked in customer relations roles at TLR in San Francisco CA, US Airways in Tempe AZ, and for Dr. Virginia Ann Bonoli in Avon, MA.

David was married to his husband, Jason Garland and they were together for 23 years. David loved to sing and do theater, cross stitch and sew, go on road trips, collect lions, attend movies at the theater, and watch movies and tv shows at home with family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a Celebration of his Life will be held on SATURDAY (May 14th) at 11am in the First Church, 2 East Central Street, Natick MA 01760.
