David Gerald Whitmarsh Sr.

Mr. David G. Whitmarsh Sr., 64, of Franklin MA died Thursday evening (December 4, 2025) at the HopeHealth  Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence RI after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Hutt) Whitmarsh.

David was born in Natick MA, the son of the late Walter E. Whitmarsh and the late Audrey (MacLean) Whitmarsh. He attended Madison Park High School in Boston MA.

David had been employed as a mechanic & a machinist for all of his life.

David loved to fish, and loved listening to music. He was also a car enthusiast.

Along with his beloved wife of 42 years, he is survived by his 2 sons: David Whitmarsh Jr. and Adam Whitmarsh, both of Franklin MA; his sister: Darlene Cerullo and her husband Tony Cerullo of Falmouth MA; also many beloved nieces & nephews and in-laws.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of his Life will be held on TUESDAY (December 16th) from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.

In lieu of flowers his family highly encourages memorial donations be made in David’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
