Mrs. Deborah A. (Hann) Garland, 73, of Framingham MA died unexpectedly on Tuesday (April 28, 2026) at her residence in Framingham MA.
Deborah was born in Brookline MA, the daughter of the late Arthur Hann and the late Lorraine (Cellucci) Tucceri.
Deborah was a graduate of Needham MA High School, Class of 1971. She then went on to attain her bachelor’s degree from UC-Berkeley in California and also attained her master’s degree from the London School of Economics. While in college she traveled abroad to India, where she lived for six months, which she was very proud of. She always had interest in other cultures & other ways of life.
After graduating from college Deborah had been employed in the financial services industry for many years, working at Goldman Sachs as a trade assistant. After the birth of her two daughters, she worked in real estate & sales.
Deborah had been a resident of Framingham MA most recently, and prior to that had resided in Boston MA, Milford MA and Holliston MA. She loved listening to music and attending live concerts and dancing and was considered a “foodie”. She was very social and known for her sense of humor.
Deborah also loved the ocean & sitting by the pool where she would sunbathe for hours. She loved dining out & also cooking at home. She also enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics and any foreign film or program. She was interested in Astrology and in her youth she loved to travel & hike.
Shopping was one of her favorite past times, she took great pride in her clothes, her handbags & her shoes. But her favorite past time was spending time with her two grandchildren on weekends.
Deborah is survived by her 2 daughters: Lindsay M. Garland of Westborough MA and Jamie P. Garland and her husband Jordan Edson of Hopedale MA; her 2 grandchildren: Atwood Edson & Porter Edson of Hopedale MA; her 2 siblings: Sandra Miller and her husband Kenneth of Port St. Lucie FL & John Hann of Millis MA; also a niece: Casey Hann.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. There are no funeral services presently scheduled.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
