Dixie (Menzigian) Aurgemma

Mrs. Dixie (Menzigian) Aurgemma, 99, of Milford MA died Tuesday (October 11, 2022) at Care One at Millbury in Millbury MA after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of John P. Aurgemma who died in 2004.

Dixie was born in Worcester MA, the daughter of the late Sarkis Menzigian and the late Agnes (Enfiajian) Menzigian. She was a graduate of the former Commerce High School in Worcester MA, Class of 1944.

Dixie was first employed as a young woman at the former Cornell & Dubilier Company located in Worcester MA. She later worked as a sales clerk at the former Fair Department Store and the former Anthony Roberts Company, both located in Milford MA. Her last employment was at the former Hopedale Gardens Nursing Home located in Hopedale MA.

Dixie had been a resident of Milford MA for most of her life and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also an animal lover and had five pet dogs over the years, including her favorite “Jacob”, who survives her.

Dixie is survived by her 2 daughters: Elaine R. Aurgemma of Milford MA and Nancy A. Iadarola of Uxbridge MA; her 3 grandsons: Joseph Iadarola of Norton MA, Geoffrey Iadarola of Uxbridge MA & Justin Iadarola of Northbridge MA; also her 2 nieces: Carolynn Renfret of Milford MA & Pauline Smith of NH.

Dixie was the sister of the late Dick Menzigian; the late Alice Mussulli & the late Ruth Menzigian.

Her Funeral Services will be held Friday (October 14th) at 11am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA with Rev. Aved Terzian of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour in Worcester MA officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday morning (October 14th) from 10am to 11am, prior to her Funeral Service.
