Donna Marie Moran, 58, of Biddeford ME and formerly of Milford MA, died Monday (July 25, 2021) at the Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford Maine after an illness surrounded by her family.
Donna was born in Framingham MA, the daughter of the late Clement H. Moran Jr. and the late Kathleen M. (Fahey) Moran. She attended the former St. Mary’s Elementary School and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1980. She also attended Worcester State College.
At the age of 14 Donna started working at Milford Candlepin. She then moved on to The Fair Department Store and also worked in daycare. Donna later worked at Valpey-Fisher for many years in a management position and traveled the world. Donna later managed hotels in Florida & Maine.
Donna loved the water and she resided on Lakeview in Mendon and Spring Lake in Rhode Island in her twenties. She lived for several years in Florida before making her permanent home in Biddeford Maine.
When Donna was in high school she did community service with her sister Patti and cousin Maggie. They babysat during the 11:30AM Mass at St. Mary’s Church and formed a singing group they named The “M&M’s”. They performed in area nursing homes.
Donna was an excellent cook, and avid Natalie Wood fan, and loved music, movies, watching TV, especially cooking shows.
Donna is survived by her daughter: Deanna M. Moran of Biddeford ME; her sister: Kathleen E. Moran of Milford MA; her nephews: Quinn Moran of Bellingham MA, Noah Moran of Charlton MA; her nieces: Sadie Moran of Woonsocket RI and Aubrey Moran of Milford MA; also her uncles: Jack Fahey and Charlie McLain, both of Milford MA; many cousins & dear friends; and her beloved pet dog “Moka”.
Donna was the sister of the late Patricia A. (Moran) Briggs, who died in 2015.
In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Saturday (August 7th) at 12 NOON in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial of her cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. There are no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
