Doris DeMaria Obituary

Mrs. Doris M. (Biagetti) DeMaria, 89, of Milford MA died Wednesday evening (May 17, 2023) at Golden Pond in Hopkinton MA after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. DeMaria, who died in 1983.

Doris was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Augusto and the late Ermalinda (Zacchilli) Biagetti. She attended Milford public schools as a young girl, graduating from Milford High School.

Doris met her future husband Bob DeMaria through her sister Ada and her future husband Bill DeMaria, Bob's brother.  The Biagetti sisters married the DeMaria brothers and built homes from the same blueprints in Milford in the mid-sixties sharing a back yard.  The two families grew as if one extended larger family, where cousins felt like brother and sisters.  The two families shared family dinner nearly every night during the summer often in the shadow of the pool area that they built together.  The sisters and brothers remained close their entire lives and spoke with each other daily. Even today those cousins feel like family.

Doris was first employed as a young woman at the former Public Cleaners located on Cedar Street in Milford MA. She later was employed at Mass Mailing located in Holliston MA and lastly had been employed as the hostess for over twenty years at the New England Steak House located in Mendon MA.

Doris was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford MA and a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Italian-American Veterans Post #40 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her beloved family members.
