Eria Morrison Obituary

Mr. Eria E. Morrison, 62, of Middletown RI died unexpectedly on Tuesday (September 30, 2025) at the Newport Hospital in Newport RI shortly after admittance. He was the beloved husband of Megan C. (Boland) Boland-Morrison.

 

Eria was born in San Francisco CA, the son of the late Joseph Morrison and the late Cora (Fontentte) Morrison. He graduated from high school in Atlanta GA and went on to attain his associate’s degree from a Junior College in California.

 

Eria was first employed as a young man in the hospitality industry working in hotel management. He later became employed in the financial services industry working for MetLife. He had been a resident of RI for the past 22 years, and prior to that had resided in California.

 

Eria was a history & architecture buff, but his favorite past time was fishing, fishing, fishing !!! He was a member of the Rhode Island Fishing Club.

 

Along with his beloved wife of 13 years, he is survived by his sister-in-law: Jennifer Reed and her husband Michael of Mullica Hill NJ; his brother-in-law: Cullen Boland and his wife Patty of Weymouth MA; his 3 nephews: Gavin Reed, Keegan Reed & Michael Capuzzo; and his niece: Ella Boland.

 

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Private Celebration of his Life will be held at the convenience of his family. There are no funeral home services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Visiting Nurses of Newport, 438 East Main Road, Middletown RI 02842.
